Overview
Waynesboro Construction was selected to construct a new printing facility for the Frederick News Post, appropriately named the “First Amendment” facility. With many critical milestones, and completion and coordination issues, the owner, designers, contractors, and major suppliers entered into a partnership agreement to manage the timely completion of each milestone. The primary goal was to meet the “press ready” date to accept shipment of the “state of the art” printing press from Japan. Waynesboro and their partners met the critical date, accepting shipment of 25 tractor trailer loads of press equipment, and substantially completed the project ahead of schedule.
