Description
The initial parking deck designed for Frederick Memorial Hospital was a three-level deck, planned to accommodate two future levels. After being selected as the contractor, Waynesboro Construction informed the owner that the future additions would be extremely expensive and difficult to construct over the original structure. To overcome this challenge, Waynesboro worked with the architect and engineers on a fast-track redesign of the project, developing a five-story structure. The structure features drilled caisson foundations, a precast concrete structure with brick veneer, three stair towers, an elevator and a card entry system.
