Details 40,000 SqFt Addition Location Shippensburg, Pennsylvania Architect Dagit-Saylor Architects Owner Shippensburg University Description Drilled caisson foundations support this three-story masonry student union building. Waynesboro Construction formed and poured a reinforced concrete wall 40’ high and curving 150’ in length. Faced in brick veneer, the wall is freestanding at one end and integrated as a structural building wall at the other. A three-story open interior stairway leads from a first floor social “hub” area to upper level meeting and study rooms. The construction includes space for the University Store, recreation and conference rooms and academic offices.
